We are excited to announce that the CIDPRO is now available globally to all identity and access management (IAM) practitioners interested in testing their industry knowledge and becoming a certified professional!
Earlier this year, IDPro® rolled out the CIDPRO™—Certified Identity Professional—exam to a limited group of beta test takers who were required to complete an assessment prior to participation.
The CIDPRO is a one-of-a-kind, industry-specific, rigorous, vendor-neutral testing and certification program. CIDPRO examines the test taker’s knowledge on a range of subjects—such as the functional and operational elements of an identity solution, core concepts of security for identity, and the rules, regulations, and standards that must be upheld. Assessment of the practitioner’s understanding of identifiers, identity lifecycle, and identity proofing are also included in the exam which was designed and written by a diverse team of global identity professionals with the support of professional psychometrists.
Some of the benefits of achieving the globally credentialed CIDPRO professional designation include:
- Confirmation of the individual’s skills and abilities necessary to support an employer’s ongoing efforts to mitigate risks and identify strategic security opportunities.
- Successful exam completion validates the practitioner’s personal experience and expertise through a standardized, third-party-developed process.
- Passing indicates credibility through proven, vendor-neutral-identified foundational knowledge.
- Exam participation also demonstrates the individual’s and company’s commitment to the industry.
Exam participants who receive a passing score are also granted the CIDPRO Badge—an honorific that can be shared in the practitioner’s signature, across social media platforms, and more. The globally recognized badge, issued via Credly, is a signifier that the individual has passed a rigorous examination of their ability to operate effectively within the IAM industry. It also looks pretty cool!
