Earlier this year, IDPro® rolled out the CIDPRO—Certified Identity Professional—exam to a limited group of beta test takers who were required to complete an assessment prior to participation.

The CIDPRO is a one-of-a-kind, industry-specific, rigorous, vendor-neutral testing and certification program. CIDPRO examines the test taker’s knowledge on a range of subjects—such as  the functional and operational elements of an identity solution, core concepts of security for identity,  and the rules, regulations, and standards that must be upheld. Assessment of the practitioner’s understanding of identifiers, identity lifecycle, and identity proofing are also included in the exam which was designed and written by a diverse team of global identity professionals with the support of professional psychometrists. 

Some of the benefits of achieving the globally credentialed CIDPRO professional designation include:

During her keynote presentation at Identiverse, Sarah Cecchetti, IDPro co-founder and chair of the Certification Committee, announced the open registration for the CIDPRO exam. The CIDPRO designation provides identity professionals and employers with a method for validating foundational Identity Access Management (IAM) industry knowledge. Developed through a meticulous peer-review process with a diverse team of global identity professionals, CIDPRO is a long-awaited, rigorous, vendor-neutral certification program.

To obtain the CIDPRO designation, candidates must pass the CIDPRO exam which tests the individual’s knowledge in a range of industry subject matter including functional and operational elements of an identity solution, core concepts of security for identity, and rules and standards as well as identifiers, identity lifecycle and identity proofing.
